The Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Malam Shehu Mohammed, has appointed Felicia Kalu as Acting Corps Public Education Officer.
Kalu will oversee media engagement and nationwide road safety advocacy campaigns for the Corps.
The development is contained in a statement by Agboola Olundegun, Assistant Corps Commander, Administration, Corps Public Education Office, on Wednesday in Abuja.
Mohammed also approved the strategic redeployment of senior officers to strengthen operational effectiveness across the Corps.
He said the move would enhance institutional coordination and reposition the Corps for improved service delivery in line with its statutory mandate.
“As part of the postings, the former CPEO, Olusegun Ogungbemide, has been appointed Assistant Corps Marshal in charge of Operations at the FRSC National Headquarters, Abuja.
“The appointment places him at the helm of the Corps’ critical operational arm responsible for nationwide enforcement coordination and strategic field operations.
“A.C.M Ogungbemide once served as Sector Commander in Lagos State and is a member of the National Institute.
“Felicia Kalu, formerly Deputy Corps Public Education Officer, has been elevated to serve as Acting Corps Public Education Officer,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Corps Marshal also approved the redeployment of Corps Commander, Maxwell Lede.
Mohammed said Lede had moved from Sector Commander, RS1.3 Katsina Sector Command, to assume duty as Corps Intelligence Officer at the national headquarters.
He added that Corps Commander, H.A Ibrahim had been posted from the FRSC Academy to take over as Sector Commander, RS1.3 Katsina Sector Command.
Similarly, Corps Commander, H.A Ogundayo, was redeployed from National Traffic Radio at the headquarters to serve as Corps Commander, NTR, at the Corps Marshal’s Office.
“Deputy Corps Commander, O.J Ohaeri, moves from Marshal Inspector, Administration and Human Resources Department, to serve as Deputy Corps Public Education Officer,” he said.
The Corps Marshal noted that the redeployments formed part of ongoing efforts to reposition the Corps for greater efficiency, professionalism and improved service delivery.
Mohammed urged the affected officers to bring their experience and commitment to their new assignments.
He added that the FRSC remained steadfast in its mission of creating safer roads across Nigeria.
According to him, this will be achieved through strengthened operations, intelligence-driven enforcement, strategic public education and sustained collaboration with stakeholders.
