KANO GOV PLEDGES TIMELY PAYMENT OF WORKERS’ BENEFITS

Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf, has pledged that his administration will no longer allow public servants to suffer delays in the payment of their lawful benefits.

The assurance was contained in a statement issued on Thursday by the governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Tofa. According to the statement, Yusuf reaffirmed his commitment to the welfare of workers in the state, describing timely payment of salaries, pensions and other entitlements as a fundamental obligation of government.

The governor said public servants play a critical role in the delivery of essential services and deserve to be treated with dignity and fairness. He noted that his administration is putting measures in place to clear outstanding liabilities and ensure that due process is followed to prevent future delays in the disbursement of benefits.

Yusuf added that prompt payment of workers’ entitlements would not only boost morale but also enhance productivity and improve service delivery across ministries, departments and agencies.

He assured civil servants and retirees that his government remains committed to transparency and accountability in managing public resources, stressing that workers’ welfare would remain a top priority.

The statement urged public servants to remain dedicated to their duties, assuring them that the state government is determined to build a system where their rights and benefits are protected.
