The whole of Omabala community are in a celebration mood as they prepare to host the world on 11th October, 2025 at Otuocha Township stadium for the Omabala Cultural fiesta. As a prelude to the event, the executive members, led by Dr. Chike Obidigbo (Osisioma) the members of the BOT led by Justice Obidigwe Rtd , Royal fathers, and other members of Omabala Union gathered in their numbers at the Recreation Club, Otuocha on 28th September 2025 to summarize their activities prior to the event.
At the event, one of the leading contenders in the forthcoming Anambra governorship election, Sir Paul Chukwuma, a son of Omabala region was also in attendance to seek for the Union’s endorsement.
In his opening remarks Dr. Chike Obidigbo outlined the need for unity of purpose among the communities that make up Omabala Union for a successful Omabala Cultural Day. The chairmen of the various committees charged with the responsibility of organising the event gave their reports on how they are preparing their roles to make the event a very remarkable one. Justice Obidigwe Rtd in his address tasked members of the organization to take the message home to their various Communities as a form of sensitization as according to him many awards will be won on that day.
In his contribution, Igwe Sir Ben Emeka Oke-Ebo II of Umueri pleaded that the people of Omabala region should recognize the Omabala Union as an umbrella organization for all the sons and daughters of Omabala. He enjoined any group that is acting outside the organization to collapse their structures into Omabala Union.
The governorship aspirant, Sir Paul Chukwuma after outlining the different neglects and marginalization of Anambra North by the present administration of Prof. Charles Soludo pledged to remedy the situation by ensuring adequate security of lives and properties and also ensure even developments across the three geo political zones that make up Anambra state.
