Justin Bieber is set to settle a $31.5 million debt owed to his former manager Scooter Braun and the HYBE Corporation but the payment will only come after the $1 billion sale of his wife Hailey Bieber’s Rhode Beauty brand to e.l.f. Cosmetics closes and funds are disbursed. According to TMZ, the settlement agreement includes a clause allowing Bieber to delay payment until Hailey’s Rhode deal officially goes through.

This debt reportedly stems from a $26 million loan HYBE covered for Bieber following the cancellation of his 2022 Justice Tour due to Ramsay Hunt syndrome, as well as approximately $11 million in unpaid commissions, half of which he admitted to owing, bringing the total to $31.5 million. An independent audit revealed Bieber only made one payment to date, and sources say he currently lacks the funds. Hailey’s windfall from the Rhode sale is now expected to cover the shortfall.

Bieber’s representatives have not publicly commented on the arrangement, while HYBE confirmed the settlement as part of Bieber’s efforts to settle past financial obligations.
