The visit which was endorsed by Mrs Okwudika Onianwa (Ada isi Onishe), had the three ancentrial families (Odogwu, Opechi and Okolo) fully represented.
They informed his
Majesty that the entity of Umuada Isieke is standing with and by him.
Mrs Nwabuonwu revealed that they are saddened by the ongoing quarrels, and Umuada has come to plead with Agu to allow them to reconcile those misunderstandings, including those in the court of law so that peace will be fully restored in AHABA. In tandem with his majesty’s continuous message of peace, they pleaded with Agu not to listen to naysayers who only propaganda evil agendas but pleaded that his majesty listen to their plea for unity and peace, buttressing that they are all siblings and for that very fact should be a shiny example to the entire Ahaba.
Obi Oduma lent his voice in the case, asking that his majesty accept the intervention of the Umuadas for peace to reign.
Agu thanked the Umuadas specially for the visit noting that he is aware they have long wished to make the visit and is happy with their presence. He greatly appreciated the roles Umuada play in Asaba and, with the visit, is pleased that Umuadas still remember the duties assigned them by the forebears. Agu thanked specially Oni Oduma and Odogwu Ahaba Obi Chief Nwanze Oduah for their interventions in the matter.
“The truth is I have no animosity towards Isieke, there is no quarrel. Your men have come to see me countless times and I have been working in synergy with fellow contenders for the throne like Ogb Prof Onwuka, Ogbueshi Esealuka and other great Isieke sons whom I have drafted into committees for the good of Ahaba.
He noted that the existing court case with Diokpa Uwaechue and Ogb Konwea is normal because the throne was in contention, but he believes it’s time to forge ahead, come together, allow peace to reign and discard any animosity.
HRM endorsed their request for intervention and promised to help with whatever is needed to hasten the reconciliation, reiterating that peace is paramount in moving Ahaba forward because bickering will only dwindle that development. He reminded them that just as he promised never to heed gossip during his consultation stage, he affirms that he stands by that decision and would never listen to anything that would further diminish the existing situation.
Finally, he officially handed the case to the Umuadas to sort out ways to reconcile the warring parties.
