London Tech Week officially kicked off today at Olympia London, drawing innovators and investors from over 90 countries. The event spans June 9–11, followed by a citywide fringe festival, featuring 70+ events from startup pitch-offs to deep-tech workshops. The opening ceremony saw UK Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer and NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang on stage, urging the UK to evolve from an “AI taker” to an “AI maker” in what’s billed as “Tech in the Age of AI”.
The Main Stage will feature over 400 speakers across six thematic stages – including Innovation, Impact, and Startup tracks – with headline sessions led by world-class figures such as Sir Tim Berners-Lee, inventor of the Web; physicist Prof Brian Cox; Tanuja Randery, AWS EMEA MD; Darren Hardman, Microsoft UK CEO; Arthur Mensch, CEO of Mistral AI; Allison Kirkby, BT Group CEO; Jimmy Wales, Wikipedia founder; and Christian Horner, Red Bull Racing CEO. Attendees can immerse in cutting-edge content, from Learning Labs on AI lifecycle integration to the Rising Star Competition, which awards a £1 million investment to emerging startups.
The event also spotlights global investors and ambassadors such as Baroness Martha Lane‑Fox, Brent Hoberman, and Derya Matras, who will engage with hundreds of VCs, angels, and enterprise tech leaders in curated matchmaking sessions.
