â– DGG believes that the Nigerian Senate should uphold the principles of rule of law and respect the stay of execution issued by a High court on the case. It should stop trampling upon and destroying our fledgling democracy and refrain from incessant violation of human rights. They are not only denying Senator Natasha her basic human rights and denying the people of Kogi state adequate representation in the senate, they are also setting a wrong precedence for Nigerian women who are sexualy abused to stay suppressed and never come up to complain.
â– DGG demands that the accused Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, should recuse himself from this case, pending a full and fair hearing / trial
â– DGG demands immediate and unconditional reinstatement of Senator Natasha to her full senate duties with her full rights pending a fair trial without the interference of the accused, Senate President.
