Yusuf bags Nigerian Institution of Civil Engineers’ award

Gov. Abba Yusuf if Kano State has been conferred with a fellowship award by the Nigerian Institution of Civil Engineers (NICE) for outstanding contributions to infrastructure development and engineering governance.

The award was presented during NICE’s two-day Annual Conference and General Meeting held in Kano, according to the Governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature.

NICE National Chairman, Mr Otunba Ajanaku, praised Yusuf’s transformative infrastructure approach, calling him a “leader turning Kano into Nigeria’s biggest construction yard via people-oriented projects.”

Yusuf appreciated NICE for the honour, reaffirming his commitment to engineering standards in Kano’s projects.

He said the recognition would spur intensified efforts on quality roads, bridges, schools, hospitals boosting citizens’ lives.

Yusuf pledged continued collaboration with NICE for transparency, accountability and technical excellence in projects.
