Nigerian rapper Falz the Bahd Guy has expressed outrage over the recent abduction of over hundred students and staff from a school in Niger State.

The incident occurred around 2 AM, with reports indicating that the kidnappers targeted a primary school.

Reacting, Falz via social media condemned the abduction, questioning the competence of the authorities after which, sent a strong message to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Over hundred abducted again in Niger just this morning. Do you know how insane this is?” he wrote.

“You have failed woefully @officialBAT, tender your resignation now,” he added.

Notably, two days prior to this incident, Falz had raised concerns about the insecurity in the country, tagging the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in a tweet that read: “How many more people have to be kidnapped and killed in cold blood? How many more lives do you want to waste? How many more futures do you wish to erase with your incompetence and inaction?”

The Niger State government has confirmed the abduction, but faulted the school for resuming despite previous security directives. The Senior Special Adviser to the governor explained that the State had ordered the temporary closure of all boarding schools in the Niger North Senatorial District zone and suspended all construction activities due to security concerns.

However, the school reportedly defied these directives. The State government has launched a full-scale investigation and search and rescue operation to ensure the safe return of the abducted students and staff.

This recent abduction in Niger State comes barely a week after another kidnapping incident in Kebbi State, where 25 female students were abducted from Government Girls Comprehensive Secondary School in Maga.

The Kebbi State incident resulted in the death of the vice principal, Malam Hassan Yakubu Makuku, who attempted to shield the students during the attack.
