REWA is a University College London (UCL)-trained Physiology and Pharmacology graduate. In her days as a Director at Chapel Hill Denham, she still found time to pursue a career in the arts and has since become an acclaimed global visual artist. Her heritage-inspired artworks have been exhibited in fairs, museums, and galleries across Africa, Asia, Europe, and North America, earning her international recognition.
Through her captivating portraits, REWA captures the tight-knit bonds of culturally diverse communities, offering her a profound connection to both ancient social influencers and contemporary women’s groups in Nigeria, particularly within the Onitsha diaspora.
Her art is a vibrant celebration of Onitsha, Igbo, Nigerian, and African womanhood, emphasizing themes of strength, resilience, grace and empowerment.
The exhibition “Women of the Elephant Tusk” (ndi otu odu) honors the Otu Odu Society of Onitsha, an esteemed women’s group in Igbo culture, and highlights the power and cultural significance of African women. Hosted at The Africa Centre in London, this exhibition weaves personal narratives with historical archives, celebrating the rich heritage of the Igbo people and affirming pride in identity.
