The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has reacted to widespread claims that he allocated massive parcels of Abuja land to his sons, calling the allegations false and politically motivated. Speaking during an official function in Abuja, Wike said he was aware of the source of the claims and described them as “nothing but propaganda.”

“I know where the allegations are coming from. They are from Adamawa,” he said, in what appeared to be a veiled reference to political rivals. The Minister insisted that no land had been allocated to any of his children and said the reports were part of a broader attempt to discredit his leadership and distract him from ongoing reforms in the capital.

The accusations had sparked outrage on social media, with many Nigerians questioning the ethics of such land allocations if true. Wike, however, maintained that his focus remains on restoring order and due process in Abuja’s land administration, vowing that no amount of blackmail would derail his plans.
