CHIEF TOM IKIMI

The National Chairman of the PDP’s National Disciplinary Committee, Chief Tom Ikimi has stated that fairness, firmness, and decisiveness are essential for restoring hope and confidence in the party.

In a statement in Abuja, Ikimi expressed optimism that these principles would help the PDP meet the expectations of its vast membership across the nation and address the public’s desire for effective national leadership.

He called on all PDP members and leaders to support the committee in fulfilling its mandate, emphasizing that all petitions will be handled according to the PDP constitution, which clearly outlines the “Offences and Sanctions.”

He announced that the NDC is preparing to commence its hearings and is eager to receive petitions and complaints from dissatisfied members, either through the National Working Committee or other appropriate channels.

The 26-member committee, led by Ikimi and including Eyitayo Jegede, SAN, as secretary, features notable members such as former Kano State Governor Mallam Ibrahim Shekarau, Chief Olabode George, Rt. Hon. Margaret Icheen, Sen. Effiong Bob, and former Acting National Chairman Alhaji Abubakar Kawu Baraje, among others.
