Social Democratic Party (SDP) candidate in the 2021 Anambra governorship election and Chairman of Gocuz Group, Dr. Obinna Uzoh has expressed sadness at the passing on of Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, who died in London yesterday (Saturday, July 27) after a brief illness.

In a statement titled, SENATOR IFEANYI PATRICK UBAH’S DEATH: TEARS IN OUR EYES, SORROW IN OUR HEARTS, which he personally signed and issued this evening (Sunday, July 28), Uzoh:

“We are saddened by the news of the passing on of my younger brother, Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, Chairman/Chief Executive Officer, Capital Oil and Gas Limited.

“By his demise, our Anambra South Senatorial District, Anambra State, and Nigeria have lost an illustrious son, who has done much in nation-building.

“In his eventful life, he made a mark as a businessman, playing at top level in the oil and gas sector; a politician, representing Anambra South in the Senate, and a philanthropist, touching the lives of the less privileged and downtrodden.

“Even though we were in a political divide, being in different political parties, we shared the same dream of using our resources and political office to ensure that the voices of our people are heard and that their needs are catered to.
