The Minister of Works, Senator David Umahi, has declared that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s landmark achievements in infrastructure development across the six geopolitical zones will be the driving force behind his success in the 2027 presidential election.

Speaking to journalists on Sunday, Umahi stated that the scale and speed of ongoing infrastructure projects under the “Renewed Hope” agenda have effectively silenced critics and will serve as the President’s primary campaign message.

According to the Minister, the federal government has intentionally distributed critical projects across the country to ensure equitable development, economic stimulation, and enhanced connectivity.

”President Tinubu is not just fixing roads; he is building economic arteries that connect our nation,” Umahi stated. “The massive infrastructure revolution across the six geopolitical zones will sell the President to Nigerians in 2027. Work speaks louder than words.”

Umahi highlighted several legacy projects currently underway, emphasizing that their completion will fundamentally transform Nigeria’s logistical framework.

He mentioned the construction of the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway, The Sokoto-Badagry Superhighway, The Trans-Sahara Highway and extensive interventions on critical standard routes, including the Abuja-Kaduna-Zaria-Kano dual carriageway and the rehabilitation of major bridges nationwide.

The Minister dismissed concerns over the political dynamics of the 2027 general elections, asserting that Nigerians are discerning and will vote based on tangible evidence of governance. He noted that the Ministry of Works has adopted rigid pavement technology (concrete roads) for major projects, ensuring durability that guarantees taxpayers value for their money for decades to come.

Umahi urged Nigerians to remain patient and supportive of the administration, reiterating that the temporary economic sacrifices being made would pave the way for a prosperous future anchored on solid infrastructure.
