President Bola Tinubu has commiserated with the Yar’Adua family of the late former President, Umaru Musa Yar’Adua over the passing of their revered matriarch and mother of the late President, Hajiya Dada Habi Yar’Adua.
Haijya Dada Habi died yesterday (Monday, September 2) at the ripe old age of 102.
In a statement issued by the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, President Tinubu, in a heartfelt message, extolled her legacy of compassion, faith, honesty, and good fellowship.
Tinubu also extended his condolences to Senator Abdulaziz Musa Yar’Adua, the people of Katsina State, and to the many lives the late matriarch touched.
The president Tinubu prayed for the repose of the soul of the deceased and affirmed that the beloved and remarkable matriarch of the Yar’Adua family will always be remembered for the support, peace, joy, and comfort she offered to many.
Hajiya Dada, mother of the late former President, Umaru Musa Yar’Adua, and the late General Shehu Musa Yar’Adua, one time Chief of Army Staff, passed away on Monday (yesterday).
Earlier in his own condolence message, Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, who led some senior government officials to the Yar’Adua family house on condolence visit, expressed sorrow at the matriarch’s passing.
The Governor praised the deceased for her exemplary life and invaluable contributions to the community, adding that she was a pillar of strength for the Yar’Adua family, offering prayers for the repose of Hajiya Dada’s soul and Allah to grant her eternal rest.
