Tinubu Approves DCG Adeyemi as Fire Service Chief, Effective August 14

President Bola Tinubu approved the appointment of Deputy Controller-General (DCG) Olumode Samuel Adeyemi as the new substantive Controller-General of the Federal Fire Service (FFS), effective August 14, 2025, succeeding Engr. Abdulganiyu Jaji Olola, who retires on August 13 upon reaching age 60. The announcement, made by the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) through its Secretary, Major General Abdulmalik Jibril (rtd), highlights Adeyemi’s extensive experience, having risen from the FCT Fire Service to DCG in the FFS’s Human Resource Directorate, with training in command courses both locally and internationally.
