This was confered at a pontifical high mass celebrated by the metropolitan Archbishop of Calabar His Grace Most Rev Joseph Ekuwem with other priests at the sacred heart cathedral in Calabar.
Some of the honorees are the Obong of Calabar His Eminence Edidem Ekpo Okon Abasi Otu the (V), commander William Archibong,Rt honorable Lawrencia Ita,Rt honorable Josephine Ogar,Rt honorable Julie Ekpeme and others.
In a homily the metropolitan Archbishop of Calabar most Rev Joseph Ekuwem admonished the awardees to see their newly appointed roles as an honor bestowed on them as servants of God’s mandate to spread the gospel.
Archbishop Joseph Ekuwem reminded them that the inheritance of the followers of Christ is in heaven while calling on the thirty two papal knights and medalist to neglect any unworthy life but rather live a life worthy of emulations.
Responding,some of the awardees,Rt honorable Lawrencia Ita,sir William Archibong and Julie Ekpeme thanked the Catholic Church for acknowledging their works and promised to sustain the spread of the gospel of Jesus Christ to all the nations of the earth.
The ceremony had a high powered attendance from the Obong’s palace and top government officials
