When I was abducted from the National Hospital, Abuja in handcuffs and driven to Obi in the Night without being discharged by the National Hospital I didn’t hear any protest from ANYONE except the former Galadima of Adamawa, Alhaji (Barrister) Murtala Aminu.
Where were All the Traditional Rulers at that time; of course celebrating the Havoc done to me by Vice President Atiku Abubakar and the then NSA, Lt General Aliyu Muhammad Gusau.
Is the Emir of Gwandu not Superior to the Emir of Kano in the Order of Precedence especially in the North and also being the Number Two in the Caliphate after the Sultan?
Sultan Ibrahim Dasuki was abducted during the Time of General Abacha’s Administration and taken to Godforsaken and unheard of Zing in Taraba State.
Likewise I was abducted at night on Friday 3rd June, 2005 and driven to a Godforsaken and unheard of Obi Town in Nassarawa State in a marathon drive stopping only in Gusau for my Morning Subh Prayers.
Emir Sanusi’s defiance of Law caused the death of some people.
Throughout my 20 Year Ordeal, has anyone accused me of Violating ANY Law?
Nobody is above the Law.
The Police issued a Warning to ALL in Kano prohibiting “Hawan Sallah“.
What would it have cost him if he simply complied?
Can he survive in Kano without the Security Forces who discharge their duties in maintaining Law and Order and Security?
Let’s be less sentimental and be truthful with ourselves.
Emir Sanusi is not conducting himself like an Intelligent, Responsible and Respectful Traditional Ruler.
If anyone is to blame, certainly it’s not the Police but Emir Sanusi who is recalcitrant and degrading the Dignity of the Traditional Institution.
Loss of Human Life is insignificant to him in his arrogant ways of Life.
Nobody should sympathize with him but with the Kano People and the Traditional Institution.
Would the Emir of Kano late Alhaji Ado Bayero conduct himself in this undignified manner?
Almighty Allah SWT has ordered us to speak the Truth even against our Parents, or even ourselves or next of kin.
Therefore let’s ALL bury our heads in Shame by not calling Emir Sanusi 2 to order to stop this Childish Charade and offer his Resignation to save whatever is left of the Dignity of the Traditional Institution.
