The Demographic Challenges of Donald Trump and Bibi Netanyahu

Why is the relationship between the US and Israel at its best ever in over 70 years since the founding of the State of Israel, according to Bibi Netanyahu? That’s elementary. Both Donald Trump and Bibi Netanyahu have similar challenges to overcome in their respective countries.

Donald Trump, following promises made during election campaigns, wants to expel all undocumented immigrants in the US, especially the 20 million Latinos who, according to the far-right nationalists have engaged in uncontrolled breeding of children.

Similarly, Bibi Netanyahu and his co-extreme far-right backers in government would love nothing more than permanently expelling the over 2 million Palestinians in Gaza and thus torpedoing the two-state solution.
Both Donald Trump and Bibi Netanyahu are taking radical steps to advance their respective expulsions of unwanted undocumented immigrants and Palestinians in Gaza, which are couched in technical languages.

In the US for instance, ICE officials with the backing of other federal officials have already started raids of suspected facilities and locations across cities in America working towards targets of 3,000 arrests per day for undocumented immigrants with clashes and riots reported recently in Los Angeles over such raids.

Likewise, plans were recently announced by Donald Trump to turn the former terrorism detention facility at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba into a 30,000-person migrant facility for undocumented immigrants from the US prior to their removal back to their countries of origin, making room for increased arrests by ICE.

This coincides with the passing and signing into law of the Laken Riley Act that allows the Department of Homeland Security to detain for deportation purposes undocumented immigrants in the US who are either arrested or charged with burglary, theft, larceny or shoplifting, even when they have not been convicted.

While touring another new immigration detention center surrounded by alligator-filled swamps in the Florida Everglades he called  “Alligator Alcatraz” that can house 3,000 to 5,000 undocumented immigrants, with Donald Trump calling for more of such facilities to be developed and fast tracked across the US.

Israel on the other hand has expressed a plan to build a Concentration Camp in Rafah, Gaza dubiously named Humanitarian City to initially house 600,000 Palestinians and then subsequently expanded to house the entire Palestinians population numbering over 2 million.

The plan is to create a one-way entrance into the Concentration Camp in Rafah for the entire 2 million plus Palestinians in Gaza with no way back into Gaza, in which any Palestinian going in will be physically searched and documented to ensure they are not members of any of the Palestinian Resistance entities engaged in fighting the IDF.

The fears which are not unfounded and are being expressed by the United Nations and other international observers is that this one way-in Concentration Camp in Rafah is the first step to the eventual forced deportation of the over 2 million Palestinian population out of Gaza to locations being sought for their relocation by the US and Israel.

Donald Trump has already promised to rebuild and turn Gaza into the Rivera of the Middle East, and although he and Bibi Netanyahu have said departure of Palestinians from Gaza would be voluntary, don’t put it pass the IDF to make conditions inside the Concentration Camp at Rafah so hellish that those Palestinians who make it out alive want to do is leave Gaza.

The experience with the humanitarian aid blockage of Gaza by the IDF for over 90 days coupled with the subsequent admission of very limited aid into Gaza, the opening of only 4 food distribution centres in the whole of Gaza under the control of the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, where there were previously over 400 food distribution centres under the cover of UNRWA, are still fresh.

Worse, the fact that the IDF has been repeatedly targeting Palestinians who have come to these 4 food distribution centres killing over 600 since they were opened using tanks, drones, and IDF soldiers firing live ammunition directly at already starving Palestinians speaks volumes.

What then is to stop the IDF from declaring when the Concentration Camp in Rafah finally becomes operational and is filled to the brim with over 2 million Palestinians, that Palestinian Resistance fighters have infiltrated into the Camp, and there is need to expel them with bombings and shooting with live bullets?

Remember, these are tactics similarly used by the IDF in bombing refugee camps, hospital grounds, classrooms, mosques and other places where Palestinians in Gaza similarly fled to for refuge since October 9, 2023, with the IDF either claiming that ordinary Palestinians there were being used as human shields by Palestinians Resistance fighters or that they had command centres located in tunnels underneath.

Emrahim Rasool the South African ambassador to the US who was declared person non grata and expelled by Secretary of State Marco Rubio, was one of the few to highlight the issue of DEMOGRAPHIC as the real reason why expulsion of undocumented immigrants by Donald Trump was an election campaign point which is now being expediously implemented after January 20.

“What Donald Trump is launching is an assault on incumbency, those who are in power, by mobilizing a supremacism against the incumbency, at home, and — I think I’ve illustrated — abroad as well,”

“So in terms of that, the supremacist assault on incumbency, we see it in the domestic politics of the USA, the MAGA movement, the Make America Great Again movement, as a response not simply to a supremacist instinct, but to VERY CLEAR DATA THAT SHOWS GREAT DEMOGRAPHIC SHIFTS IN THE USA IN WHICH THE VOTING ELECTORATE IN THE USA IS PROJECTED TO BECOME 48 PERCENT WHITE.”

And that the possibility of a majority by minorities is looming on the horizon. And so that needs to be factored in so that we understand some of the things that we think are instinctive, nativist, racist things. I think there is data forexample which is supported that will go to the wall being built, deportation movement etc etc.” Emrahim Rasool

The situation is not dissimilar as the issue of DEMOGRAPHIC again comes into play in the crisis between Palestinians and Israelis, where Palestinians couples who have an average of 7 to 9 children as compared to Israeli couples with an average of 2 children, makes for the impossibility of both sides ever being incorporated in the same State.

With about 2 million Palestinians legally in Israel, another 2 million in Gaza, and over 2.7 million in West Bank and East Jerusalem, not even counting the 3 million Palestinians in Jordan, a single democratic state for both Palestinians and Israelis would instantly make Israelis the minority and result in the loss of Jewish identity of the nation.

Similarly, a separate State of Palestine for the Palestinians declared over Gaza, the West Bank and East Jerusalem with a starting population of about 7.7 million when factored in with projected population growth going forward scares the hell out of Israel especially as independence will allow a sovereign Palestinian state to align with countries of its choice.

So, for the far-right Israeli government of Bibi Netanyahu, rejection of a single state solution for both Israelis and Palestinians or a 2-state solution, one for the Israelis and another for the Palestinians is to be fiercely resisted and if the opportunity arises, then Palestinians have to be expelled from Gaza, and more land acquired from the West Bank and East Jerusalem.

Overcoming demographic challenges in the US and the remaining Palestinians territories are what unite Donald Trump and Bibi Netanyahu respectively with a flurry of detention facilities coming actualized for holding and facilitating mass explusions of millions of undocumented immigrants from the US, while Israel similarly turns to the use of the Concentration Camp at Rapha to facilitate the expulsion of 2 million Palestinians from Gaza.
