Former Big Brother Naija housemate and influencer, Natasha Akide, popularly known as Tacha, has criticized Nigerians for consistently channeling their anger towards President Bola Tinubu while overlooking the failures of governors, senators, and local government chairmen.
In a viral video posted on Monday, Tacha argued that public outrage is often misdirected at the presidency or Lagos State which she described as one of the best-performing state while grassroots leaders, who manage significant funds, escape scrutiny.
She referenced the recent ₦2.2 trillion disbursed by the Federation Account Allocation Committee to federal, state, and local governments, stressing that the resources exist but are being grossly mismanaged 44 billion, I didn’t say million, ₦44 billion, has been given to a local government chairman. Watch how nothing will be done with it, because at the end of the day, they know Nigerians will only drag Tinubu and the presidency, she said.
According to her, many citizens have wrongly concluded that all of Nigeria’s problems lie with the president, neglecting the responsibility of other tiers of government.
