Alhaji Isyaku Bawa-Naibi, Chairman of Suleja Local Government Council, has charged the council’s political appointees and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to remain loyal to the executives for continuous progress and development.
Naibi gave the charge during the inauguration of members of the Suleja Local Government Council at the Suleja Town Hall, Dawaki.
The event featured the swearing-in of seven Supervisory Councillors, as well as Special Advisers, Special Assistants and Media Aides.
Addressing the inaugurated appointees, Naibi said that disloyalty to the APC administration in the state would not attract the much needed infrastructure development of the fast growing council.
He called on the appointees to key into the giant milestones of the people-oriented programmes and policies of Gov. Umaru Bago.
“Suleja Local Government Area remains one of the fastest growing Councils in the state. It strategic location close to the FCT makes it an investors delight. This is evident in the commercial activities in the town.
“The governor is putting in place various projects like housing, international trade complex, healthcare upgrade in the council. The only way to continue to enjoy these is through loyalty and dedication to the governor’s aspirations”.
Naibi also urged all APC members in Suleja to demonstrate commitment and dedication to the party and the governor.
He commended Bago for his commitment to transforming Niger, urging residents and party faithful to reciprocate by giving the governor maximum support and cooperation.
Speaking at the event, Alhaji Babasule Bisalla, Chairman of the Niger–FCT Boundary Commission, and the APC Chairman in Suleja Local Government, Alhaji Kabir Dansara, called on party members to continue supporting the administration of Bago.
Those inaugurated as Supervisory Councillors are Abbas Hamza, Aminu Sale, Abdullahi Muhammad, Gambo Hussein, Barde Idris, Naziru Ibrahim and Sadiqa Dangaladima, alongside other Special Advisers, Special Assistants and Media Aides.
In a gesture of appreciation, Naibi presented a brand-new vehicle to one Tanimu Kwamba in recognition of his support and contributions to the development of Suleja Local Government.
The occasion also featured the presentation of Awards of Excellence to the chairman by Osas Pharmacy, the APC Assistant Women Leader and the G5 Women Group in recognition of their leadership and service to the people of Suleja.
