Niger Delta chieftain and former President of the Ijaw Youth Council, Asari Dokubo, has issued a warning to President Bola Tinubu and the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, cautioning that any effort to oust Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara will carry serious repercussions.

Dokubo shared this perspective during an interview on Arise Television on Tuesday morning.

“With President Tinubu now in office, I feel it’s my duty to speak truthfully about the situation in Rivers State. It appears Tinubu is backing Nyesom Wike in actions that could disrupt the stability and peace in Rivers State,” Dokubo stated.

“As an invested stakeholder in Rivers State, I’m profoundly disappointed that the president has permitted his minister to secure questionable judgments and intimidate the people of Rivers State.”

“They believe they can remove Fubara without consequence. But I am telling them that if they proceed to remove Fubara, there will be consequences. If they attempt this, they will face resistance.”

It is worth noting that tensions have risen between Governor Fubara and his former ally, Nyesom Wike, as they struggle over control of the state’s political structure.
