The Southern Kaduna Christian Leaders Association has condemned the recent abduction of 177 persons in Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State, describing the incident as alarming and unacceptable.
The association expressed deep concern over the development in a statement. According to the statement, the incident marked an unprecedented occurrence in the history of Southern Kaduna, as worshippers from three different Christian denominations were abducted on the same day while attending church services.
Kure said the attack had intensified the already fragile security situation in the region, stressing that residents continued to live in fear amid recurring kidnappings.
He added that several abduction cases recorded in communities across Kauru, Kachia and other parts of Southern Kaduna had yet to be resolved, raising concerns over the safety of lives and property.
The association called on relevant security agencies and the Kaduna State Government to take urgent steps to secure vulnerable communities and ensure the safe return of all abducted victims.
