Samsung Unveils Ultra‑Slim Galaxy Z Fold 7 with 200 MP Camera

Samsung has officially unveiled the much-anticipated Galaxy Z Fold 7, its latest flagship foldable smartphone, at its Galaxy Unpacked event in Brooklyn on July 9, 2025.

The Z Fold 7 is the thinnest and lightest in Samsung’s Fold lineup, measuring just 8.9 mm when folded and 4.2 mm when open, and weighing only 215 g. It features a larger 8″ Dynamic AMOLED 2X main display and a 6.5″ cover screen with a new 21:9 aspect ratio, supported by the redesigned Armor FlexHinge for enhanced durability.

Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chipset and running One UI 8 based on Android 16, the device integrates advanced Galaxy AI features like Gemini Live and Photo Assist. It also debuts a 200 MP main camera and enhanced security, including encrypted Knox KEEP and post‑quantum Wi‑Fi cryptography.

Samsung is accepting pre-orders from July 9, with the official release set for July 25. The phone is available in Blue Shadow, Silver Shadow, Jetblack, and a Samsung‑exclusive Mint color. Buyers also gain six months of Google AI Pro and 2 TB of Samsung cloud storage, plus Samsung Care+ coverage.
