The Emir of Kano. Aminu Ado Bayero, has notified security agencies in the state of his intention to conduct a series of cultural and religious activities during the forthcoming Sallah celebrations.
In the monarch’s letter of notification signed by his Private Secretary, Abdullahi Haruna Kwaru, he indicated that all arrangements have been concluded to ensure the smooth implementation of these activities.
The letter, with reference number KEC/HH/CORR/001/VOL1/556, and cited by Daily Sun indicated that Hauwan Sallah, Hauwan Dsushe and Hauwan Nasarawa would take place on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd of Shawwal 1446AH while a cultural event will hold on the 4th day.
According to the monarch, the purpose of the letter is also to officially notify the security agencies that this year’s Sallah celebrations coincided with his 5th year anniversary on the throne as the Emir of Kano.
Daily Sun investigation revealed that there is a huge excitement among his supporters, many of whom are passionately looking forward to the commencement of the Sallah celebrations.
There are, however, a few concerns by some residents regarding the fact that the State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, had a few days ago directed the reinstated Emir, Muhammadu Sanusi and the four second class Emirs in the state to commence preparations for the conduct of similar activities during the Sallah celebrations
