In a bid to create a pipeline of robotic professionals and develop expertise to support robotic surgeries, the Redeemer’s Health Village (RHV) says it has concluded plans to unveil a robotic academic .
Dr Ademola Dada, the Chief Executive Officer of the faith-based health institution, disclosed in Lagos that the academy would be unveiled in partnership with RoboMed Global on Oct. 22 at RHV, Redemption City.
Dada said the academy had been structured into a five-stage capacity building for referring clinicians and their teams .
He said the five stages included foundation, skills development, clinical observership, advanced training and collaborative practice and research.
“The robotic academy, when launched, will create a pipeline of robotics professionals, forming part of efforts to develop the skills and expertise required to support robotic surgery services.
“This initiative will provide opportunities for training and help build a sustainable pipeline of professionals capable of supporting robotic surgery operations.,”
The RHV CEO said the initiative would form part of a broader vision to develop robotic surgery services and ensure that the necessary human capacity was available.
The source reports that RHV had on Saturday unveiled is robotic surgery service in Lagos with priority in urology, general surgery and gynaecology.
