In a clear affirmation of the joke that a man’s lions maketh his greatest enemies, a ranking Commissioner and member of the Jigawa State Executive Council (name withheld) has been arrested and detained by the Kano State Hisbah Board after he was caught making it out with a married woman in an uncompleted building in Kano metropolis.
The Director General of the Kano State Hisbah Board, Abba Sufi the arrest of the Jigawa Commissioner yesterday (Friday, October 18) was sequel to the receipt of a series of complaints against the said commissioner by the woman’s husband.
“We arrested him with a married woman in an uncompleted building that belongs to him unknown to him that we were tracking him based on the reports against him that we had received,” Sufi said.
It was gathered that the woman’s husband, Nasiru Bulama, had lodged complaints with the Kano State Police Command, the Department of State Services (DSS), and the Hisbah Board, alleging his involvement in illicit sexual activities with his wife.
The Director General, however, assured that the accused would be charged to court on the alleged offence and also for operating unlawful Centers and hotels in the State.
