Governor Dauda Lawal has called on Muslim faithful to sustain and deepen prayers for peace and stability in Zamfara State and across the country as they celebrate Eid al-Fitr.
The governor made the appeal in a goodwill message marking the conclusion of the 30-day fasting period of Ramadan, describing the season as one of profound spiritual renewal and moral reflection.
In a statement issued on Thursday in Gusau by his media aide, Sulaiman Idris, Lawal congratulated Muslims in Zamfara and across Nigeria for successfully completing the sacred obligation, while emphasizing the deeper significance of the occasion beyond celebration.
“I congratulate the Muslim faithful in Zamfara and Nigeria as we conclude the 30-day Ramadan fast, marking this year’s Eid-el-Fitr, the festival of breaking the fast,” the governor stated, noting that the period represents more than a religious ritual but a transformative journey of the soul.
