Nigerian singer, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has challenged veteran artiste Terry G to a celebrity boxing match, saying the contest would help revive the latter’s career.
Portable made the challenge during an appearance on Rubbin’ Minds, a Channels Television programme, where he said he preferred facing fellow entertainers in the ring rather than social media personalities such as VeryDarkMan and Carter Efe.
The singer described himself as the pioneer of celebrity boxing in Nigeria, claiming he had earned millions of naira from previous bouts. He added that a fight with Terry G would generate public interest and bring renewed attention to the veteran musician.
Portable also expressed confidence ahead of his July 31 rematch with actor Charles Okocha in Lagos, saying the contest would attract a large audience.
He added that if he defeated Terry G after the Okocha bout, he would embark on an international tour, with planned visits to London, the United States, Russia, Malaysia, Dubai, and South Africa.
