The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, has lamented that inadequate communication is making the party’s governance achievements largely invisible despite significant infrastructure projects delivered by the administration of President Bola Tinubu and APC-led state governments.
Yilwatda made the remarks on Tuesday at the Progressive Governors’ Forum–Renewed Hope Ambassadors Summit held at the State House Banquet Hall in Abuja.
“Good governance without communication is invisible. I’ve visited many states. I’ve seen beautiful projects, beautiful things being done, but they’re invisible and not communicated,” the APC chairman said.
He stressed that effective communication would be critical in converting governance outcomes into political capital as the 2027 general elections approach.
“Communication without structure is noise. Politics without grassroots mobilisation is organised defeat,” Yilwatda added, explaining that the Renewed Hope Ambassadors structure was designed to strengthen grassroots engagement and strategic messaging.
The party chairman cited several major infrastructure projects which he said have not received sufficient publicity, including the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Road, the Badagry-Sokoto Road with over 300 dams for irrigation agriculture, the Red Line rail project, and the Ajaokuta-Kaduna-Kano gas pipeline.
Yilwatda maintained that showcasing such projects effectively would help consolidate public support and counter opposition narratives ahead of the next election cycle.
