Deputy Governorship Candidate of the Labour Party (LP), in the Ondo State governorship election holding this Saturday, November 16, Dame Olabisi Okunniyi, has hailed the judgment of the Appeal Court in Abuja, sacking Olusola Ebiseni as the party’s governorship flag bearer.

In a statement issued by her media assistant, Olubori Obafemi, Dame Olabisi Okunniyi described the judgment as a victory for the rule of law and all true Obidients, who infused positive energy into the Labour Party pre-2023 general elections, vowing that impostors and political marauders would not be allowed to sabotage the Obidience Movement.

The former permanent secretary in Ondo State and Chairman of the defunct Owena Motel said it is time for all indigenes of the State to troop out to vote for the mass prosperity agenda of the Labour Party as Nigerians are tired of the heightening poverty in the country under the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

“The Labour Party government in Ondo State shall be inclusive, transparent, accountable and consultative, as every policy decision of our government shall be embraced from a bottom-up approach in ensuring that the Ondo people truly own their government and elected government officials are true servants leaders to marshall the mass prosperity of the Ondo people,” she enthused.

Olabisi Adu, a grassroots political influencer also extended the Labour Party’s hands of fellowship to other political parties in Ondo State to align with herself and Dr Ayo Olorunfemi, the governorship candidate of the Labour Party in the task of returning governance in Ondo State to the masses, youths and good people of the State, asserting that the Labour Party is open to any ideological electoral alliance that will deliver the state from the clutches of the predators of the common people in Ondo State.

The Labour Party campaign team is expected to round off its political campaign tomorrow in Akure, Ondo State capital, after their grassroots door-to-door engagements with voters in the 18 local government areas of the State, where the party leadership is expected to address the good people of Ondo State on its agenda for the State.
