Olukoyede orders investigation of N15million Bobrisky’s allegations against EFCC Officers

Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Mr. Ola Olukoyede has ordered immediate investigation of alleged bribery allegations imputed to some officers of the Commission by Idris Okuneye (a.ka.Bobrisky). This was stated in the press release by the head of media and publicity of the commission, Dele Oyewale  on Tuesday.

Okuneye, an ex-convict had alleged in the video powered by Martins Vincent Otse (a.k.a VeryDarkMan) that some unnamed officers of the EFCC collected the sum of N15,000,000 (Fifteen Million Naira) only from him to drop money laundering charges against him.

According to the release, the EFCC’s boss has constituted a team of Investigators by inviting both Okuneye and Otse  at its Lagos Directorate with a view to assisting  investigators to  unearth the alleged bribery.

Recently video released by activist Martins Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan, has stirred controversy surrounding popular cross-dresser Bobrisky (Idris Okuneye) and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). In the video, Bobrisky is allegedly heard claiming that he paid a N15 million bribe to EFCC officials to drop money laundering charges against him. The claims also include that Bobrisky did not serve his six-month prison sentence, instead staying in a lodge arranged by his “godfather.”

VeryDarkMan released this recording, with support from singer Seun Kuti, who confirmed that he had encouraged the exposé. However, Bobrisky has since denied the allegations, calling the recording fake and stating that he did, in fact, serve his prison sentence.
