Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, has appealed to the people of Isoko Nation to throw their weight behind all candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 general elections, saying his administration has demonstrated its commitment to the development of the area through massive investments in infrastructure, healthcare and education.
The governor made the appeal on Monday during an inspection tour of ongoing and completed government projects in Isoko North Local Government Area, including the College of Health Technology in Ovrode and the Ozoro Modern Market.
According to a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Festus Ahon, Oborevwori said the administration had delivered tangible projects across Isoko communities and other parts of Delta State, adding that residents should reciprocate the government’s efforts by voting for APC candidates during the next general elections.
Addressing community leaders, government officials and residents during the inspection, the governor stressed that his administration had maintained an equitable distribution of projects across the state without discrimination, ensuring that all 25 local government areas and the three senatorial districts benefited from government interventions.
He said the visible developmental projects executed in Isoko Nation reflected his government’s commitment to improving the living standards of the people and enhancing socio-economic growth.
“What the Isoko people owe us is that in 2027, they should deliver all our candidates. We have done roads here, we have invested in health and education, and our footprints are visible across the state. We are working in all 25 local government areas and the three senatorial districts,” Oborevwori stated.
The governor noted that his administration remained focused on delivering quality infrastructure capable of stimulating economic activities and creating opportunities for residents, irrespective of political affiliation.
During the inspection of the College of Health Technology, Ovrode, Oborevwori expressed satisfaction with the pace and quality of work, describing the institution as a critical investment in the health sector that would help produce skilled healthcare professionals to meet the growing needs of the state.
He observed that strengthening health institutions remained one of the priorities of his administration, adding that improved training facilities would contribute significantly to enhancing healthcare delivery across Delta State.
The governor also visited the Ozoro Modern Market, where he assessed completed facilities designed to boost commercial activities in the area.
He said the market would provide traders with a conducive business environment while contributing to local economic development and increasing internally generated revenue for the state.
Oborevwori reiterated that his administration was implementing projects based on the needs of communities and not political considerations, insisting that every part of Delta State deserved equal access to development.
He assured residents that ongoing projects would be completed according to schedule and promised that additional developmental initiatives would continue to reach Isoko Nation and other communities across the state.
The governor maintained that the administration’s performance in road construction, education, healthcare and other sectors should serve as the basis for continued public support.
He added that the government’s developmental strides were evident across Delta State, reflecting its resolve to fulfil campaign promises and improve the welfare of citizens.
Oborevwori further called on residents to remain supportive of government programmes and to continue cooperating with relevant authorities to sustain peace and development in their communities.
The inspection tour formed part of the governor’s routine assessment of ongoing and completed projects aimed at ensuring quality delivery and value for public funds, while reinforcing his administration’s commitment to infrastructural renewal and inclusive development across Delta State.
