Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, has proposed an Appropriation Bill of ₦1.664 trillion for the 2026 fiscal year, marking a significant increase from the previous year’s appropriation.
Presenting the proposal, Governor Oborevwori explained that the 2026 proposal represents a 70% increase, amounting to ₦685 billion, over the 2025 budget.
According to the breakdown, the proposed budget allocates :₦499 billion — 30% of the total budget — for recurrent expenditure, covering personnel costs, overheads, and other operational expenses.
