The Group Chief Executive of Oando Plc, Wale Tinubu, is set to participate in the 2026 World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting in Davos, Switzerland, where he will advocate Africa’s energy priorities on the global stage.
Tinubu, who leads one of Africa’s foremost indigenous energy solutions providers, is expected to engage global policymakers, investors and industry leaders on issues central to the continent’s energy future.
According to the company, his key interventions will centre on Africa’s energy security, the critical role of finance in accelerating growth across the energy sector, and the importance of indigenous companies in delivering bankable and sustainable projects amid a rapidly decarbonising global economy.
Discussions at the forum are also expected to examine how emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, can drive efficiencies, improve project economics and enhance decision-making within Africa’s energy value chain.
In addition, Tinubu will highlight the growing importance of South-South partnerships as a pathway for mobilising long-term capital and strengthening collaboration among developing economies.
The Oando chief executive is scheduled to speak at the Nigeria House, a platform inaugurated on Sunday by Vice President Kashim Shettima, which serves as a hub for showcasing Nigeria’s investment opportunities and policy direction during the Davos meeting.
His participation is expected to reinforce calls for a balanced global energy transition that recognises Africa’s development needs while promoting sustainable growth.
