The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) has revamped its leadership structure in Katsina State, expressing strong optimism for electoral victory in the forthcoming 2027 General Elections.
The party on Monday elected and affirmed new executive officers during a well-attended congress in Katsina, monitored by officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The exercise, described as seamless and orderly, was part of NNPP’s strategic preparations for the political battles ahead.
The Chairman of the election committee, Alhaji Tukur Muhammad-Fagge, praised the congress, stating that the smooth affirmation of unopposed candidates reflected the party’s maturity and internal cohesion.
The source reports that Muhammad-Fagge, is the member of Kano State House of Assembly representing Fagge State Constituency.
He revealed that while some executives, including the state Chairman Abdulkadir, retained their seats, fresh faces were also brought on board to reposition the party for victory.
“This process mirrors the strength of your internal democracy and your readiness to lead by example,” Muhammad-Fagge said.
Commending stakeholders for their professionalism and commitment during the election process, he urged the new executives to lead with humility, inclusiveness, and total dedication to the electorate,
He stressed that their leadership would shape not only the party’s future, but also contribute to Nigeria’s broader democratic development.
Responding on behalf of the newly elected officials, Abdulkadir expressed deep appreciation to delegates and stakeholders for their confidence in the new leadership.
The new Chairman pledged to serve with integrity, openness, and renewed determination to ensure the NNPP triumphs come 2027.
He stressed that with divine support and collective effort, the NNPP was poised for a strong political showing in the next election cycle.
Abdulkadir also acknowledged the guidance of the party’s national leader, Dr Rabi’u Musa-Kwankwaso, saying that Nigerians need him as their president.
The source also reports that, among the 37 executive officials elected, Alhaji Muhammad Nasir-Tsauri returned as Deputy Chairman, while Alhaji Tijjani Zakaria was elected Secretary.
Others elected included Alhaji Sani Arga as Deputy Chairman, Katsina Zone; Alhaji Mani Ibrahim-Jani as Vice Chairman, Daura Zone; and Alhaji Garba Sarki as Vice Chairman, Funtua Zone.
