The National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria, NIMN, has unveiled plans to hold the 2025 Annual Marketing Conference & AGM on June 19–21, 2025, in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
Speaking at a media briefing in Lagos, the Registrar of the NIMN, Patience Sado, who spoke on behalf of the President and Chairman of Council, explained that the vision behind this year’s theme, “Leveraging ESG in Driving Value Across Generations,” promises to ignite meaningful conversations about marketing’s evolving role in a purpose-driven, impact-focused world. As environmental, social, and governance (ESG) considerations become central to sustainable business strategy, we aim to explore how marketing can be a force for enduring value—not only for brands and shareholders, but for society and future generations.
According to Sado, “The theme reflects our shared commitment to aligning marketing with responsible innovation, digital transformation, and long-term societal impact.
Reeling out the details, Sado said, “The conference will feature an impressive lineup of keynote speakers, panelists, —accomplished professionals, business leaders, —who will offer diverse insights and practical strategies. Attendees will benefit from rich discussions, valuable networking opportunities, and meaningful professional engagement.
“In addition, our Annual General Meeting will be held during this period, offering members the opportunity to review the Institute’s progress, deliberate on key matters, and help shape the direction of our Institute.
She added, “As a professional body that regulates the marketing profession in Nigeria, backed by Act Number 25 of 2003. NIMN remains steadfast in its mission to uphold ethical standards, build capacity, and promote excellence. We are confident that this year’s event will reinforce these values while positioning the Institute as a catalyst for transformation in the marketing landscape.”
