Nigeria international Ola Aina has committed his future to Nottingham Forest by signing a new three‑year contract that runs until the summer of 2028. The 28‑year‑old defender joined the City Ground on a free transfer from Torino in July 2023 and, following an optional one‑year extension in May 2024, has now secured a longer stay after an impressive 37 appearances across all competitions last season.
Aina has been a key player, featuring regularly on both flanks of the defence under coach Nuno Espírito Santo in a season where Forest finished a strong seventh in the Premier League and reached the FA Cup semi‑finals. He has accumulated a total of 59 appearances, scoring three goals and providing two assists since his arrival.
Forest has also secured longer deals for other key figures, including striker Chris Wood, centre‑back Murillo, and coach Espírito Santo, signalling a strategy focused on continuity and stability as the club embarks on its first UEFA campaign in 29 years this season.
