These young people are on their way to India for their undergraduate studies, mostly in STEM courses. They are fully sponsored by Senator Mohammed Sani Musa, who represents Niger East Senatorial District. There are 100 of them!
I checked the Senator’s Facebook page and saw how these students were chosen. It was all based on merit. They applied, went through screening, took an aptitude test, had a physical interview, and then the successful candidates were selected.
Right now, the same Senator is screening applicants for his scholarship to China. Those students will soon travel there. This is true leadership. This is real empowerment. This has a meaningful impact. This is intentional and thoughtful.
Senator Sani has been in the Senate for just 6 years. While a scholarship alone doesn’t tell the whole story of his work, this achievement is truly commendable. He deserves applause. This is leadership that makes a difference.
Imagine where these young people will be in 5 years, studying technology in India – a country known for its strength in tech. This man has helped shape their futures for life. It’s an inspiring example we should all learn from.
Let’s celebrate him and give him the credit he deserves.
