The Senator representing Delta North, Ned Nwoko, has unveiled a newly completed modern mini stadium in Issele-Uku, Delta State, describing the facility as a symbol of collective progress and community empowerment in the region.

Announcing the development in a post shared on his official X handle on Tuesday, Senator Nwoko said the project was conceived to inspire young people, promote healthy competition, and strengthen unity among residents.

“This project was conceived to inspire our youths, promote healthy competition, and strengthen community spirit,” he stated.

According to the lawmaker, the modern facility features a standard football pitch, a seven-a-side multi-sports arena, spectator pavilions on both sides, and fully equipped dressing rooms — all designed to provide an enabling environment for sports, recreation, and talent development.

Nwoko, who has been at the forefront of youth empowerment and community development initiatives across Delta North, said the project aligns with his broader vision of using sports as a tool for social cohesion and positive engagement among the youth.

He expressed optimism that the mini stadium would serve as a hub for nurturing future sports talents and promoting healthy lifestyles within and beyond the Issele-Uku community.

Local residents and sports enthusiasts have lauded the initiative, describing it as a timely intervention that will boost sporting activities and community pride in the area.
