The leadership of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) recently embarked on a benchmarking visit to Ghana’s National Communications Authority (NCA) to explore best practices and strengthen regulatory frameworks, reports
The NCC is Nigeria’s regulatory body for the telecommunications industry, responsible for ensuring compliance with regulations, promoting competition, and protecting consumer interests.
On the other hand, NCA Ghana, is the regulatory authority for the communications industry in Ghana, overseeing telecommunications, broadcasting, and postal services. The NCA aims to promote a competitive and innovative industry while ensuring consumer protection.
The visit by the NCC, led by Executive Vice Chairman/Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Dr. Aminu Maida,  ITREALMS  gathered, was aimed at sharing knowledge and experiences with NCA Ghana, exploring best practices in regulatory frameworks, strengthening collaboration and cooperation between the two regulatory bodies
Industry watchers noted that the visit demonstrated NCC’s commitment to staying abreast of industry developments and improving regulatory effectiveness in Nigeria.
