Mr Labaran Maku, the Labour Party (LP) flag-bearer for the June 20 Nasarawa North senatorial bye-election, has pledged to provide quality and sound representation at the National Assembly if elected senator.
Maku, a former Minister of Information, made the pledge on Friday while speaking with journalists in the Akun Area Administrative Council of Nasarawa State.
He said he joined the race to add value and bring speedy development to the Nasarawa North Senatorial District.
Maku stated that he possessed all it takes to be a senator.
The former deputy governor said he was returning to his political roots to give Nasarawa State a unified and new direction.
“By God’s grace, if elected senator, I will provide quality and sound representation at the National Assembly.
“I will lobby and attract speedy development to the Nasarawa North Senatorial District,” he pledged.
The former minister also assured the people of people-oriented projects and empowerment initiatives if elected.
Maku promised to complete all unfinished projects initiated by the late Sen. Godiya Akwashiki.
He solicited the prayers and support of all stakeholders to ensure his victory.
“I want to use this medium to appeal for the prayers and support of the people of Nasarawa North to enable me win the election on June 20,” he pleaded.
