The Nigerian Air Force has successfully airlifted sensitive electoral materials required for the 2026 governorship election in Ekiti State and several senatorial and federal constituency by-elections scheduled to take place on June 20, 2026, in a move aimed at ensuring a smooth, secure, and credible electoral process.
The operation, conducted between June 15 and 16, followed a formal request from the Independent National Electoral Commission to facilitate the timely transportation of election materials from Abuja to various destinations across the country.
