The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda Goshwe, has said Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, was never his personal enemy but that their differences were rooted in political choices, declaring that their coming together under the APC would benefit Plateau State.
He explained that their alignment would strengthen Plateau’s political leverage at the federal level and enhance access to development opportunities, adding that when the governor and the APC leadership work together, the state stands to attract more projects and investment.
Prof. Nentawe said the e-registration exercise was aimed at deepening inclusiveness and internal democracy within the party and thanked Plateau people for their support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, expressing optimism that current economic reforms would yield positive outcomes.
Governor Caleb Mutfwang, in his remarks, said the partnership was driven by the overriding interest of Plateau State and urged supporters across divides to embrace unity.
“We have started a journey of unity to take Plateau State to greater heights,” the governor said.
He disclosed that his administration had introduced measures to support farmers, promised improved infrastructure and healthcare facilities, and encouraged citizens to shun violence and drug abuse.
The events attracted large crowds of party members and featured symbolic presentation of APC registration slips, as well as courtesy visits to traditional rulers in Kanam and Langtang.
