Mr. Eazi is celebrating his 34th birthday today, July 19, 2025. Born Oluwatosin Oluwole Ajibade in Port Harcourt on July 19, 1991, he first rose to prominence studying mechanical engineering at Ghana’s Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, where he founded Swagger Entertainment before launching his music career with the critically acclaimed mixtape About to Blow in 2013.
429-0Over the past decade, Mr. Eazi has built a legacy as a pioneer of “Banku music”, a fusion of Ghanaian highlife and Nigerian Afrobeat that has helped to globalize African sounds. His breakthrough single “Skintight” featuring Efya, followed by hits like “Leg Over” and his debut album The Evil Genius in 2023, have earned him international recognition as both artist and entrepreneur. He also founded emPawa Africa, a continent‑wide artist incubation initiative that empowers emerging musicians.
