The Olojudo of Ido-Ayegunle in Osun State, Oba Timileyin Ajayi, has announced the arrest of four suspects linked to the killing of villagers in the community, describing the development as a critical step toward justice. In a statement issued on Monday, the traditional ruler said the arrests followed sustained efforts by security agencies to identify those responsible for the incident.

“I want the world to know that we have arrested the people behind the killing,” Oba Ajayi said. The monarch disclosed that an Osun State Magistrate Court sitting in Osogbo has ordered the remand of the four suspects at the Ilesha Correctional Centre for a period of 30 days over alleged murder. According to him, the suspects were remanded after the police requested additional time, informing the court that investigations into the case were still ongoing.

Oba Ajayi expressed hope that the legal process would ensure accountability and bring closure to the affected families, while also restoring peace to the community.
