A man has been assaulted and arrested after he was reportedly caught inside a lodge with a uniformed schoolgirl in Nairobi, Kenya.
According to reports, the suspect took the girl into the lodge and booked a room. Some group of men, however, followed him into the hotel and demanded to be allowed into the room where he took the girl into
The men reportedly barged into the room and met the man sitting on the bed beside the schoolgirl.
A confrontation then ensued, with the man laboriously explaining his intentions with the schoolgirl, who could pass for his daughter.
Witnesses said his explanations did little to ease the situation, as the confrontation escalated before authorities were alerted.
At some point, one of the men slapped the suspect across his face, forcing him to shut up.
The suspect was subsequently handed over to the police for further investigation, while the girl was safely removed from the premises.
Authorities are expected to determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident, including the nature of the relationship and whether any criminal laws were violated or were about to be violated before the intervention of the men.
