The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) and the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) have launched an enumeration exercise for victims of the fire that destroyed the Great Nigeria Building, Marina, in December 2025.

The exercise, announced on Monday by LASEMA’s Permanent Secretary, Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, is part of post-incident recovery efforts aimed at supporting affected individuals and households. It is scheduled to run from February 9 to 13 at the Adeyemi Bero Auditorium, Alausa, Ikeja.

Oke-Osanyintolu urged members of the public who were impacted by the fire to participate in the exercise, emphasizing that accurate data collection is crucial for providing timely assistance and implementing recovery programmes effectively.

The initiative reflects the coordinated efforts of both state and national emergency management agencies to mitigate the aftermath of disasters and strengthen support systems for victims of incidents across Lagos State.
