Gov. Jide Sanwolu of Lagos may be on his way out. The relationship between him and his godfather, President Bola Tinubu, has enstranged beyond repairs.

Apart from being snubbed by the president at the commissioning of the 30km out of the 700km Lagos – Calabar Coastal road recently, the governor was asked to stay away from the commissioning of 37km Lekki Deep Sea Port Access road. His deputy, Hamzat, took his place.

Information indicates that, unless the APC governors and other friends of the embattled governor succeed in pleading with the president, Sanwolu’s days are numbered.

I hear impeachment papers have allegedly been signed and kept waiting to be dusted when needed. The governor’s handling of MUDASHIRU Obasa’s impeachment is said to have greatly infuriated the president.

It remains speculative if the Governor did it alone, but all is certainly not well and the governor is in the worst days of his governorship.

Gov. Hope Uzodinma of Imo State, who is chairman of APC Governors’ Forum is said to be leading the team pleading with the president not to move against the Governor because of the 2027 elections and in other not to give ammunition to the opposition. But the president is very bitter.

Politics!

Lagos lost Akinwunmi Ambode. Imagine if he served eight years!

I hope on-going projects and the VGC overhead bridge, which has stalled for years, won’t remain permanently abandoned.

Troubling!
