The Kwara Government has procured 30 new transformers to support the economic growth and development of citizens in the state.
The Commissioner for Energy, Mr Kola AbdulGaniy, stated this on Monday in Ilorin while receiving the second batch of the transformers.
He explained that the transformers are expected to boost electricity, improve the economy and enhance social amenities in the state.
AbdulGaniy reiterated that access to electricity plays a critical role in improving security and driving economic growth in communities.
He assured that the present administration will continue to prioritise the welfare of all citizens.
The commissioner further explained that the first batch of 16 transformers was received on August 15.
“The remaining 14 transformers arrived at the early hours of today, as Gov AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq remains committed to the welfare and security of the people,” he said.
